Living like my favorite TV shows started as a moment of whimsy. This isn’t meant to be a full, life-makeover and doesn’t mean you have to buy tons of products to make life look like it does on your screen. Rather, it’s using small ways and small choices to add a little something fun and memorable to the everyday. Since I already had a tea party planned for my birthday, I decided to make April a Bridgerton Birthday Month!

Dressing Like a Bridgerton
We associated Bridgerton with sumptuous gowns, detailed embroidery, and sparkling jewels. While it’s incredible to see those costumes on screen, it doesn’t completely translate to our world. However, we can use the floral patterns and feminine fabrics as inspirations to add a little of the Ton style to our wardrobes.
I already use Rent the Runway to help method dress for my book signings and other events, so I used that to add some Bridgerton styles to my outfit rotation.

We went to see SIX on Broadway, and I wanted to embody the ‘Lady in Silver’ from Bridgerton season 4. I felt beautiful and sparkly in this dress- several people stopped me on the street to give me compliments- definitely a Bridgerton feeling!

Dressing like a Bridgerton doesn’t always mean you have to wear a dress. Anything that makes you feel like you could stroll through an English garden works wonderfully!

Music is an integral part of what makes Bridgerton so special, so of course, I listened to the soundtracks for each season and music inspired by the show. While they’re all wonderful, I think my favorite Bridgerton cover songs are from Colin and Penelope Season 3. Check out the full list of Bridgerton songs and playlists here.
Playing these songs is the perfect way to add some Bridgerton vibes to your workday, to play in the background during afternoon tea, or to set the scene for diving into a good book.
